LCDR Michael Hadel

LCDR Michael "Deebot" Hadel is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and attended Miami University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management. He commissioned as an Ensign from ROTC in December 2013, and was designated a naval aviator in September 2016 from the "Eagles" of Training Squadron Seven aboard Naval Air Station (NAS) Meridian, Mississippi.

After completing fleet replacement pilot training in the C-2A Greyhound with Airborne Command and Control Squadron (VAW) 120 aboard Naval Station (NS) Norfolk, Virginia, he reported to the "Providers" of VRC-30 aboard Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island in Aug 2017. He deployed with Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 2 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 11 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) in support of operations in the western Pacific. While with the Providers, he served as Avionics Division Officer and Detachment Administrative Officer.

In September 2020, LCDR Hadel reported to the "Tigers" of Training Squadron Nine aboard Naval Air Station (NAS) Meridian, Mississippi as an instructor in the T-45C Goshawk where he finished as the Reserve Department Head.

In October 2024, LCDR Hadel transitioned into the Reserves as a TAR Officer and reported for a department head tour with Training Squadron Seven aboard NAS Meridian.

In February 2025, LCDR Hadel reported to Training Air Wing One, where he is currently serving as the TW-1 Reserve Program Director. LCDR Hadel has over 100 carrier-arrested landings, and over 2,000 hours of total flight time. Personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and other service and unit awards.
