Executive Officer

CDR Darin L. Stockman

A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, Commander Stockman graduated from Drexel University in 2007, earning a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. CDR Stockman was commissioned through the NROTC Program and reported to NAS Pensacola, FL for flight training in June 2007. He earned his Naval Aviator Wings in July 2009. In November 2009, CDR Stockman reported to the HSL-40 "Airwolves" for initial fleet training as an SH-60B Pilot and ATO.

CDR Stockman began his operational flying in January 2011 with the "Grandmasters" of HSL-46. While a "Grandmaster", he made his first deployment aboard USS Dewert (FFG 73), participating in Standing NATO Maritime Group Two. During this tour CDR Stockman participated in the transition to the MH-60R and the squadron to HSM-46.

CDR Stockman reported to the NSAWC to complete the Seahawk Weapons and Tactics course. In August 2016 he graduated from the Seawolf course and reported to HSM Weapons School Atlantic. CDR Stockman served as the NATOPS, Fire Scout Program Manager, Standardization Officer, and Operations Department Head.

CDR Stockman returned to the fleet as Squadron Weapons and Tactics Instructor at HSM-46. While with the Grandmasters, he prepared crews for operation deployment and served as the squadron Training Department Head.

Upon the completion of his tour with the Grandmasters, CDR Stockman reported to HSM-70, the 'Spartans', as the squadron Safety Department Head. During this tour he also served as the OIC aboard USS Hue City (CG 66) for coordinated operations with Canadian and French naval forces. Upon returning, CDR Stockman went on to serve as squadron Operations Department Head and Maintenance Officer. During his Department Head Tour, he also completed his Master of Public Administration at the University of North Florida.

Following his department head tour, CDR Stockman returned to HSM Weapons School Atlantic. There he continued to prepare fleet crews for the Basic Phase as the Training Department Head and Operations Department head. He selected for squadron command in March 2022 and is scheduled to report to HT-8 as Executive Officer in May 2023.

Stockman currently serves as the Executive Officer for the "Eightballers" of HT-8 in NAS Whiting Field, Florida.

CDR Stockman has accumulated over 2,000 flight hours in 7 different aircraft. His awards include the, Navy Commendation Medal (4 awards), and Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards) and various service awards and ribbons.
