Commanding Officer

CDR Ryan Baldwin

Cmdr. Ryan Baldwin is a native of Bangs, Texas. He is a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where he received a Bachelor of Science in industrial distribution. Baldwin also received a Master of Arts from the Naval War College in National Security and Defense Studies in 2017.

Baldwin completed his initial sea tour with the "Screaming Eagles" of Patrol Squadron One where he completed two deployments to the Fifth and Seventh fleet areas supporting Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

He served as the operations administration officer onboard USS George Washington (CVN 73) and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) homeported in Yokosuka, Japan, where he completed four patrols throughout the Western Pacific. Additionally, he served as the operations officer of Patrol Squadron Nine in Whidbey Island, Washington, where he helped lead the squadron through their transition from the P-3C Orion to the P-8A Poseidon and onto the squadron's maiden P-8A deployment to Sixth fleet.

Ashore, Baldwin has served as Naval Flight Officer training officer for the P-8A Fleet Integration Team at Patrol Squadron 30. Additionally, he served as a Congressional Liaison for the Navy to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees as part of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Financial Management and Comptroller.

Baldwin currently serves as commanding officer of the "Wildcats" of VT-10 in Pensacola.

Baldwin's awards include the Strike Flight Air Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3) and various Campaign, Service and Unit awards.
