Policy Statements

The people within the Hellion Team are our most valuable resource. We protect that resource through compassionate leadership, sound decisions, and deliberate

Safety

As aviators, we operate with risks-but professionalism allows us to manage that risk. We demonstrate professionalism through knowledge, preparation, detailed planning, thorough briefs, and standardized training. ORM and CRM form the foundation of all we do. Every member of the team, regardless of rank or position, is empowered and expected to voice concerns. We will think and operate creatively, but always within the bounds of governing instructions, policies, and procedures. Flight training is demanding, but it must never be unsafe. If conditions are not right, we will adjust-training can always be accomplished another day.

Equal Opportunity

We will foster an environment where every individual can train, perform, and grow to their full potential-free from discrimination or harassment. I have zero tolerance for either. Every individual has a responsibility to act. If you witness discrimination or misconduct, you will address it or report it immediately. All assignments, opportunities, and recognition will be based on merit, performance, and potential. A strength of the Hellion Team lies in the unique backgrounds of its people. Learn about and from one another. Cohesion is built through knowing, learning, and respecting each other.

Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR)

Sexual assault is a crime and fundamentally contradicts our core values. I have zero tolerance for any conduct that undermines the cohesion of our team. We will take care of one another. If you experience, witness, or have information regarding sexual assault, immediately contact a Uniformed Victim Advocate (UVA). Victims will be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, and will receive comprehensive medical, emotional, and legal support.

Prohibited Activities and Conduct (PAC)

There is no place in this squadron for prohibited activities and conduct. This includes harassment (to include sexual harassment), discrimination, abuse (hazing, bullying, ostracism, and retaliation), wrongful distribution of intimate images, and dissident or protest activity. We will uphold the highest standards of conduct-on and off duty.

Suicide Prevention

Your well-being is a top priority. Problems can be addressed. Setbacks are temporary. Help is always available. Suicide is an irreversible and permanent decision to temporary challenges. Speak up - early and often, for yourself and for others. If you are struggling, reach out through your chain of command, peers, family, chaplain services, or professional resources such as Fleet & Family Support, Military OneSource (1-800-342-9647), or the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (988). You are not alone. We care about you.
